APO response to COVID-19

The COVID-19 pandemic is having a profound impact on how we live and work. By practicing recommended social distancing guidelines, many of us are adjusting to working and collaborating in an increasingly digital world. APO was born ready for this new world – providing an open and online repository and eResearch infrastructure to support your policy or research work.

We’re here for you

We’d like to reassure you that APO remains open and is here to support the policy and research community.

We too have made our own adjustments to the ‘new normal’. Our small team is now working remotely, and like many, we are simultaneously juggling home commitments and working online. We ask for your patience if things take a little longer than usual.

At APO, we believe we can make the most rapid and meaningful impact together. Here’s how…

We’re keeping you updated

At APO, we champion the generation and application of evidence to support decision-making. Evidence – in all its forms – will be critical in responding to COVID-19.

APO is supporting the global response by providing an increased focus on curating policy and research resources on COVID-19 and pandemics more generally.

The arrival of this pandemic has prompted a new subject term dedicated to COVID-19; along with other related subjects such as pandemics, and respiratory and infectious diseases. This enables you to quickly locate and search our comprehensive repository to help you better understand and respond to the current environment.

Our Policy Weekly newsletter can keep you up to date on COVID-19 and other essential policy and research. Not yet subscribed? Subscribe for free.

Together we can find solutions

In these uncertain times, policy issues can move extremely quickly. There are already some fantastic examples of the policy and research community responding swiftly and cohesively to develop innovative tools and solutions.

APO is here to help provide those policy and research solutions. We partner and collaborate with individuals, organisations and collectives to collect, curate and communicate the latest resources to address key policy and research issues.

Our existing infrastructure and experience allows us to rapidly curate content such as collections, websites and newsletters to address critical policy issues. If you’re interested in the solutions we can offer, please visit our services page.

The COVID-19 pandemic is a (hopefully) once-in-a-lifetime global crisis. The generation of new evidence will be key to more effective responses in the future and we are supporting these efforts through our free calls & notices service.

Stay home, stay safe, and together we will flatten the curve.
