Changes at APO in 2020

Important and exciting changes are coming to APO’s newsletters and services. These include the Daily Briefing relaunching as Policy Pulse, and the development of a brand new subscription service to help you manage and share the policy resources most relevant for you.

Introducing Policy Pulse

You spoke. We listened. Important changes are coming to APO newsletters. Next year, the Daily Briefing will relaunch as Policy Pulse, delivered to your inbox twice a week. Policy Pulse will have the same fresh policy content, carefully curated by our real human editors – so you never miss a beat. If you love your regular morning hit of policy, Policy Pulse is for you! Subscribers to the Daily Briefing will automatically start receiving Policy Pulse on Monday 3 February.

This change means fewer emails clogging up your inbox, and gives us more time to develop even better services that allow you to tailor the information you receive, so you get more of what you need. My APO+ is a new subscription service that will provide tools to help you manage and share the policy resources that are right for you. These tools include topic-based newsletters, email alerts to new and important policy resources that meet your requirements, and the ability to create your own expert directories and libraries of your favourite resources.

In more good news, the Weekly Briefing isn’t going anywhere. Don’t be fooled by the name change. If you’re a subscriber, the renamed Policy Weekly will still be delivered to your inbox once a week, filled with the most-read content from Policy Pulse, as well as other influential content selected by our editors. In a world of fake news and clickbait, APO is keeping it real. We think everyone should subscribe to Policy Weekly.

New subscription service – My APO+

We’re thrilled to let you know that as part of our ‘New Direction’ we’ll invite you to join My APO+ in the second half of 2020. Adding a subscription service is a new step for APO. Since 2002, we have offered a free service to our APO subscribers and website users. To continue to grow and evolve, some of our new services will have a subscription fee. This will allow us to continuously improve and meet our policy community’s needs, and to thrive as a self-sustainable public good. We’d like to thank you for your continued support, and can’t wait for you to join us for an exciting new step!

Note: For those that have existing RSS feeds, please be aware that these will become inactive with the implementation of our new subscription service. You can get in touch with us at editors@apo.org.au if you would like to discuss this change.
